Anyone considering staying in Detroit for the NAIAS (Detroit Auto Show) this year should take a look at my AirBnB. We have our basement and upstairs available. More importantly, we’d be glad to drive you to the show in an Alfa Romeo and let you poke around the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! garage, which is currently brimming with Alfas. Jalop staff - you got a place yet? And it’s not like it’s cold out, so a BBQ could be arranged.

I built the garage in 80 degree weather so I must have cut that piece of soffit a bit too short. Left a half inch for expansion. I need to fix it so people stop pointing at it haha

I have a similar gray on our bedroom walls thats...well...actual paint lol.

Oh and we had the above mentioned paint color in our master bedroom and bathroom in our old house, we liked it so much the first thing i did in the new house was paint our master bedroom the same exact gray. With white trim it looks awesome. I’ll find out tonight.

That’s what I was thinking - gloss white trim and then a light gray for the walls. Currently we have this cheap-ass orange shade pine stuff for trim and it’s awful.

yikes.

I just spent my winter break (yes I get one of those despite having graduated college over 7 years ago, automotive industry rocks) repainting our main bathroom to a turquoise with white trim. Looks great.

We did a slightly different shade of gray in our other bathroom. I can grab a pic of that too and you can see both. We’ll hope my phone camera does a decent job.

If I had it my way, I would demolish half of the inside of our house and start from scratch, but my wife is extremely renovation adverse.

Yeah the reno’s can be a pain in the ass.

Took forever to get our half bath turned into a full this summer/into fall. I’ve gotta finish the trim paint inside there and then do the exterior wall of the bathroom which only has primer on it.

shit is never ending.

At least out bathroom looks nice. And I put a dimmer switch in it. No more blinding light at 4 am if you have to head to the bathroom. Or you know...in the morning during the winter.

I’ve got a fireplace to demolish, an ensuite bathroom to add, a kitchen to renovate, and some walls to move around to create a bigger bedroom, and my wife is going to be miserable through everything :|

Biggest loss when moving from the old house to this one was the master bath. We went from a 1300 Sq Ft 3 bed 2.5 bath Colonial to a 2100 Sq Ft 4 bed 1.5 Bath Quad Level.

It’s now a 2 Bath thanks to the addition of a shower in the lower level bathroom. Mmmm, dem heated floors (that level is on concrete slab in Michigan, those floors were cold as a frozen over Hell, Michigan.

Living in a 1,000sf 2.5 bed 1 bath house, where the hell did you find room for an extra 1.5 baths!? 0.5 bed because when they sold it to us, the “third” bedroom was like, 9’x5’, but since there was a closet it was considered a bedroom.

The grey look is great. In 20 years, people will scoff at the grey paint phase, but that’s what fresh paint is for.

Thanks, haha, I think the grey with white from is clean and if I might even say - elegant.

It doesn’t detract from the room itself.

In 20 years it’ll be repainted whatever the wonderful new look is for then I’m sure.

Our main bathroom is a turquoise with white from that I just finished painting, it looks freaking awesome.

I have had hit or miss experiences with the home depot Behr brand paint, the Valspar Reserve at Lowes has been solid so far. It’s not a big deal so if you want them I’ll grab the names/codes tonight. Your call.

The bathroom one was readily available, forgot to find the other.

This one is a Lowes Valspar color, the 4004-1C Hazy Stratus is the one we used.
